Why Having a Strong Business Plan is Critical

It's not just a document. Many people don’t realize that a business plan isn’t just "nice to have." It forces you to think through potential pitfalls at every stage of growth.

It highlights your real resource and financial needs.
Studies show that 92 out of 100 entrepreneurs underestimate their initial costs — and few have a plan if their project ends up costing twice as much as expected.

It helps you build your business consciously, not by instinct.
What does that mean? You need to define clear KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that you can track regularly to make sure everything stays on course.

What Are the Must-Have Elements of a Strong Business Plan?

I’ve created a downloadable business plan template for you that can be used for any type of business.
Don't worry — I didn't just copy a random business plan from the internet. I’ve participated in over 2,000+ strategic callsover the past few years — from startups to billion-dollar entrepreneurs — and generated hundreds of millions thanks to these principles.

1. First, you need a short summary about who you are, what you do, and why you will be incredibly successful.

Think this through carefully, because an investor will stop reading immediately if the first impression isn’t strong.
Ask ChatGPT for help — find out what kind of wording billion-dollar startups used in their executive summaries.

2. What problem are you solving for your target audience?

Who will you sell to, and why will they choose you over the competition?

It’s not enough to write something vague like "people will have more free time."
You must be specific, for example:
"This software reduces the time and cost of video editing by 80%."

3. Introduce your product.

What is the USP (Unique Selling Proposition)?
It’s a good idea to check out the Apple website — it’s a great inspiration for how to present a product clearly and effectively.

4. How will your business generate revenue?

Describe how different types of users will move toward making a purchase.

5. How will your business operate?

Here, it’s worth breaking down the operation of the main areas: HR, Finance, Sales, Management, Administration, etc.

6. Revenue and expenses forecast for the next 6 months.

Will you need to involve investors?
If yes, it’s a good idea to start researching potential investors now, even connect with them on LinkedIn and regularly post updates about the progress of your business, so they start noticing your success.

Pro Tip:

Don't focus on making it look pretty — focus on making your action plan easy to understand.
Don't go overboard with your financial plan either — because they won’t believe it anyway.
